Daryl Smith has worked in the music industry since 1990 gaining a broad knowledge of many areas. He set up one of the UK’s first Mail Order music equipment businesses, has owned recording studios and is a consultant for many companies including the worlds largest independent alternative festival Rebellion Festivals (website, marketing, PR), record label Captain Oi! (website, mail order, digital distribution). His experience in publishing began at an early age when he oversaw the publishing catalogue of Mike Music / Global Chrysalis. He also has a small record label for boutique releases.
Daryl also runs Chase The Ace, one of the music industry’s leading graphic design agencies with clients including Universal, BBC Worldwide (Demon/Edsel), Island, Trojan, Cherry Red, Captain Oi and many more. Daryl is a keen musician and still finds time to play a couple of times each month, usually in some far away territory!
With his industry knowledge and understanding of the artists needs Daryl is best placed to manage the relationship between Custom House Music International Ltd and our bands and writers.
